July the 14th Bastille Day The French National Day
Commemoration of the storming of the Bastille, which took place on 14 July 1789 and marked the beginning of the French Revolution. We celebrate with 3 great events on this particular day : - In the morning, a striking military parade, in front of the President of France and other dignitaries and many special guests.
People from all over France come to watch this colorful and spectacular parade. There are citizens as well as those who know and love the Republic. There are so many attending this event, barriers are erected to contain these joyful spectators.
- Then there is a grand party in Palais de l'Elysee, the Presidential Palace.
- In the evening, popular parties continue to celebrate with "balls" and festivites. And late at night, against the dark sky, a great fireworks show in each city continues to celebrate this histoical day in France!
